I have a team of people who work with Grit Gear. One of the best parts of the process is working with the Team Grit models. They are all creative, driven, passionate about New York City and have many projects of their own. I am honored to have them on board, and to have them as the faces and looks of Grit Gear.
In an effort to spread the word about their awesomeness, I will feature a couple of them each week. So you can all get to know them a little. If you run into them around New York City, or around the world, you will have met one person more worth having in your life.
Kara is a Florida transplant who now happily calls Brooklyn home. After working with two reputable Manhattan-based public relations agencies in the last seven years, Kara has recently joined the freelance entrepreneurial world to focus on self-satisfying projects within the fashion, lifestyle, beauty, healthcare and art worlds. Over the years, she has partnered with organizations such as PETA, amfAR, Onassis Clothing, Museum of Sex and Susan G. Komen.
She is whip smart and creative, combining those two traits in everything she does, whether professionally or in her down time. She lives in Bed Stuy, in a gorgeous apartment with plenty of outdoor space, sunshine and high ceilings. It reminds one of Kara herself; she is tall, bright and breezy.
She’s been fearless in her modeling with Team Grit and was one of the favorites at our New York Fashion Week runway show. Look for a piece coming soon created specifically for her, and look for more of model Team Grit in future lookbooks!
